He is now getting good at giving wedgies and knows that they can create ‘skid marks’!

Thinks farting is funny even in public. He has started to add “excuse me” afterwards but laughing at the same times takes most of the sincerity out of the statement.

We borrowed Nigel’s red diesel Toyota Hilux a few times in Suriname and Richard loved it so much he couldn’t stop saying this phrase.

Takaran = Tarakan ( ) Russian for cockroach. Of course growing up in Suriname you are going to be saying this word a lot even if you do say it back to front.

Recognised ‘Machina’ (Car is Russian) and says ‘Bup, Bup’ instead of beep, beep

Finally mastered crawling, picking up speed every day.

Recognised dogs and said ‘Uff, Uff’ which is Russian for whoof.

Circumnavigating the coffee table now alone.

Strange situation today.  Richard was standing up in the cot holding on to the edge and couldn’t sit down again.  Not sure why but there sure was plenty of screaming to let us know.

Today I was standing alone holding onto the coffee table every now and again just for balance.

Teeth numbers 7 and 8 either side of bottom two.

Teeth numbers 5 and 6 either side of the top two coming through.

What sort of world is it when your child at eight months old is saying ‘Digital’?  Richard said that for sure in the car.  Can’t remember what we were all talking about but he clearly just blurted out ‘Digital’ and smiled!

7 Months – Today I said Mama. Everyone was so impressed!

Today I was lying on the bed next to Mama while Papa was at work and I decided to have a look over the edge of the bed. Mama usually doesn’t let me do this but seing as she was asleep I took my chances and had a little peek. I guess I got a little bit too close to the edge and the next thing I knew I was taking a really, really deep breath, changing colour and then screaming like a cut pig. Of course Mama woke up about the time I started to scream and she was pretty upset. She picked me up telling me something about how silly I was and then called Papa. Papa raced home from work and we all went to the hospital to show people there what I had done. Luckily the doctors were all on my side and said that I could go home and that I was all right.
